My teaching philosophy identifies that I believe in child-directed play as it promotes hands-on interactions with materials, problem-solving, and imaginative play, all necessary for young learners to develop creativity and critical thinking skills. Child-directed play is a type of play between an adult and a child in which the child directs and leads. 

Through my Polytechnic practicum attachments and ITE internship experiences, I could apply all the skills and knowledge I learnt from the modules in both schools. I also had multiple opportunities to create and implement lessons for children from 18 months to 6 years old. With my relevant expertise, I have learnt that educators are role models responsible for influencing children's learning and development and, I believe I have the potential to be a committed early childhood educator eager to nurture children's minds.
